paper doll in a dollhouse scene

Anne (age 13) - Danville PA

When Anne learned her younger sister would receive ArtHouse as a birthday gift, she decided to create decorations as her own gift. A local craft store provided some of the raw materials, but her favorite design elements were clipped from old greeting cards and magazines. Incidentally, the scanner doesn't do her "mirror" justice.

Anne's friend Vicky contributed the paper doll. (We were concerned about copyright, so we asked: The paper doll began as an un-colored line drawing in a "permission-free" Dover Publications book: "Victorian Fashions and Costumes from Harper's Bazar: 1867-1898".)
