Brad's "Futuristic Homes" Social Studies Design Project
Brad (age 10, Burlington NC) was challenged in social studies class to design a
"Futuristic Home" with all sorts of inventions... each one a solution to an imagined
future problem. The second half of the project was an oral presentation.
We understand space-home aquariums will be sealed and pressurized (becauses temporary
losses of cabin pressure and gravity can happen) - on the up side, people will be able
to keep deep-sea fish in their tanks if they want to.
ArtHouse decoration promotes imaginative thinking... not just in terms of artistic themes,
but also in techniques and materials. We thought Brad's use of silver tissue throughout
was particularly clever. It looks futuristic, plus ties the project together visually.
You're invited to submit art to the ArtHouse Children's Art Gallery!
