Elementary School Research Projects
Cecily (age 10, Reston VA) and two classmates decorated ArtHouse
with American patriots as part of a 4th grade Social Studies project.
History came alive as they put themselves into every scene, using a
digital camera and an inkjet printer. They also used photographes from
the internet, images cut from magazines, and their own drawings.
Cecily reports her favorite part of the project was presenting it
to the class - she and her friends lifted off ArtHouse's roof and set
it aside so everyone could see their artwork, then they explained
all the ideas and research that went into each of ten scenes.
