A Child's Collage - Inspired by the Work of Henri Matisse
Claire (age 7, West Hills CA) learned about the art of Henri Matisse in school.
Her class used construction paper cut-outs to make their own colorful collages.
Based on Claire's delightful example, we decided to create and publish our own collage
lesson. Students will exercise their scissor-skills, learn a few things about artistic
composition, practice planning their own simple compositions, and learn about the
famous painter and collage artist Henri Matisse.
