Children's Art in Microsoft Paint

"Checkers!"

An amazingly intuitive young artist, Garrett (age 9) created his unique checkers style without any help. Showing perseverance and concentration, he went on with it to develop an entire dollhouse. Working in a simple "paint" computer program, Garrett achieved especially complex colors and textures by translating his files from RGB to CMYK, and from BMP to JPG. (In print the white squares, for example, look like mother-of-pearl.) Blown up and printed on a color printer, and then assembled into his ArtHouse, the results are truly breath-taking.
