ArtHouse Educational Toy (with red wooden roof)
"Exceptional quality & educational value!" - Teachers' Choice Award
Kids love creating and playing between their own "storyboard walls" with the unique and wonderful ArtHouse. The walls are like TupperWare for kids art: they protect and display different scenes, turning ArtHouse into a new building, diorama, or dollhouse every day.
Use ArtHouse for project-based learning. Re-model ArtHouse to literary, cultural, historical, or seasonal themes - over and over! Draw story characters into settings. Label the storyboards with vocabulary words or captions. Draw, color, paint, collage, or use "scrapbooking" techniques. ArtHouse is especially great for storytelling and oral presentations!
Kids assemble ArtHouse by themselves, without tools, in less than two minutes. You'll love the heirloom-quality and beauty of ArtHouse's American-made wooden construction. "Firehouse" and "Country Cottage" starter decorations are included free. (More elaborate "decor kits" are available separately. Please see below.)
ArtHouse comes in a robust suitcase-style box, which is easily repacked for carrying, storage, etc.

Notice: the U.S. "Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act" (CPSIA) went into effect February 10, 2009. One requirement of this new law is that most toys for children ages 0-12 must be tested and certified by an accredited laboratory. Specifically, all painted surfaces must be certified lead-free, and all plastic components must be certified phthalate-free. Lead-free certification would be no big deal for Storyboard Toys because (a) we've always specified lead-free finishes, and (b) lead testing is relatively economical. Phthalates are a class of chemicals sometimes added to plastics to add flexibility. Not all "plasticizers" contain phthlates, and phthlates have never been deliberatly added to the polypropylene material used in ArtHouse's unique transparent "wall" panels. Although only incredibly tiny, trace amounts of phthlate contamination could possibly be present in ArtHouse's transparent polypropylene wall panels, it's cost prohibitive for Storyboard Toys to have an accredited laboratory provide the necessary certification. Therefore, effective immediately, we offer ArtHouse for children ages twelve and older ONLY.
